Network Boston 2012

On January 5, 2012, the annual BMC/HC career networking event was held at Ligne Roset in Boston.  This year, there were 34 attendees, which included 24 BMC alumnae and students.  Our host was Rick Grossman, HC’66, owner of the beautiful modern furniture store Ligne Roset.  BMC alumnae attending represented a range of career fields, including law, consulting, high tech, and higher education.  One change in this year’s event was a large increase in the number of current students attending.   This event is held during the first week in January each year, scheduled by the bi-college Career Development Office to coincide with Boston Recruiting Day for current students.

We were delighted to have the opportunity to meet Dr. John Tuton, BMC Ph.D.  1982.  Dr. Tuton is the new Associate Director for Alumnae Career Counseling in the BMC Career Development Office. John Tuton has over 30 years experience as an organizational psychologist, executive coach and career consultant. Since 2001, he has managed an independent practice based in Philadelphia, PA, providing a comprehensive range of services in the areas of executive assessment, performance management, career coaching and individual and team development programs and workshops. He specializes in helping alumnae with all aspects of their job searches and is available for phone consultations to review resumes and provide other career advice.
