Send-off tea for Boston area Class of 2009

Date: August 7, 2005
Location: Home of Irena Bronstein ’67

The tea to send off our newest Mawrters was a great success. About a dozen women and three parents came. Irena Bronstein ’67, her husband Gene Bonte, and their son Ben were our hosts. We asked the women to introduce themselves and tell us their dorm so we could figure out who would be living together. Ursula Spont ‘03 was invaluable in answering questions. At the end of the program, we taught them the BMC cheer and then left them to bond with each other which they did. The magnificent reception hosts did a lot of fetching and carrying from train stations. A wonderful party thanks to Irena, Ursula, and Jyotsna Advani’s planning. Notes for next year: we might have an even bigger turnout in June. Also, having a current student available to answer questions would be very helpful.
